'George Davison' is an old established hybrid, first released in 1900 with large, rounded golden-yellow flowers produced in profusion from orange buds. The outer faces of the petals are tinted deeper orange-yellow. It is one of the best early yellows for the garden, and named after it's breeder, who was head gardener at Westwick Hall in Norfolk.
