A vigorous Allium that is at home in part shaded areas in moisture retentive soil where it forms vast colonies. It's umbels of starry white flowers in Spring are attractive to a whole range of insects, and their onion-garlic fragrance fills the air when it is in full bloom. I often use the leaves of Ramsoms to make the most wonderful pesto, simply delicous! To prevent over spreading, snip off the flower heads as they finish to stop the seeds dropping.
